Software - Rekordbox / Serato
Music management skills are a huge part of becoming a confident DJ. You’ll learn how to navigate your DJ software smoothly, organise your library, and prepare tracks like a pro. We’ll cover importing and exporting music, analysing tracks for BPM and key, and recording your own mixes so you can listen back and improve. You’ll also learn how to create playlists, tag your music, manage folders, and build a clean, reliable library that makes mixing easier and more creative. These foundations give you the confidence to step behind any set‑up and feel in control of your music from the very first session.

Timing & Beatmatching
Beatmatching fundamentals are at the heart of every great DJ. You’ll learn how to lock two tracks together using timing, beat‑counting, bars, and phrases, building the muscle memory that makes mixing feel natural. We’ll level up your transitions with looping, sampling, and creative effects, helping you shape your own style behind the decks. You’ll also get confident managing sound outputs, levels, tempo, speed, and sync controls, so your mixes stay clean and controlled. Finally, you’ll learn to read track structure through the waveform, spotting drops, breakdowns, and transitions before they happen - a key skill that lets you mix smoothly, musically, and with real intention..
